Building Your DREAM BOARD

For those people who take a visual focus in outlining and achieving their goals and objectives...read on!

Not until I developed my own Dream Board, could I maintain my daily focus on my personal goals and objectives.  My very personalized Dream Board consists of a foam board about 24" X 30" and cost $2.00 at the local Target store.
In preparing my Dream Board, I borrowed many of Linda's magazines and a few of my own.  From my list of goals and objectives, I searched for as many representative pictures as I could find.  Many of the visual descriptions are in abbreviated form so that when I share the Dream Board at the monthly breakfast I host for the HWCOC, I am asked the meaning of each photo.  This is the exact response I am hoping for for two vastly different reasons.
  1. I get the opportunity to explain each photo and to be able to relate the story of my goals to the person asking the questions.  This short orientation gives me the opportunity to personally tell my story to others.  Through the story, I may open doors that may provide an outstanding joint marketing opportunity for each of us.
  2. By telling my Dream Board story, I am also subtutally asking the person to monitor my results.  How is that for holding my feet to the fire?
What are you doing to create your Dream Board today?  Try this really great visual aid to achieving your personal goals and objectives.  Not only is it fun to do, it is also extremely beneficial to helping keep your focus laser sharp.

I can't believe they are THAT old

You cannot believe the age of those favorite movie and TV actors and actresses are today.  Take for instance:
  • Max Baer, Jr   12-04-1937
    • (Jethro on the Beverly Hillbillies)
  • Desi Arnez, Jr  01-19-1953
    • (Little Ricky on the I Love Lucy show)
  • Judy Carne  04-27-1939
    • ("Sock-it-to-me" girl on the TV show Laugh In)
  • Johnny Crawford  03-26-1946
    • (Mark McCain, son of Lucas McCain of the TV show The Rifleman)
  • Dwayne Hickman 05-18-1934
    • (TV show Dobie Gillis)
  • Peggy Lipton  08-30-1946
    • (TV show Mod Squad)
  • Ricardo Moltalban  11-25-1920
    • (TV show Fantasy Island)
  • Adam West  09-19-1928
    • (TV show Batman)

Have you ever wondered how "those" people got to be soooooo old and you did not?  :-)

My thanks to www.celebritynooz.com for the update on all these great performers from days ago.

I AM GLAD YOU ASKED...

PATRIOTISM
(emphasis added)

Help me answer some very important questions:
  • Why are we timid to be bold in our patriotism these days?
  • Why are we soooo politically correct when America is where our freedoms were born?
  •  Why aren't we bolder in paying homage to those who have paid with their lives for our freedoms we enjoy?

To get get a perspective of the human sacrafice for our freedoms, take a stroll through Veterans Memorial Cemetary just South off Beltway 8, North.  While there, you will see the real sacrafice of those that went before us...in the name of freedom.

Do something extra special today for our military members because they volunteered to serve us and to protect our personal freedoms.  As a USAF veteran myself, I could not be more proud of our military men and women serving today.

Why not send a goodie box filled with heavy duty socks, deodarant, powder, lip balm, etc. (nothing perishable, please) along with a note of encouragement and support?

What is your first edict as Grand Poobah of the United States of America?

THINK ON THESE THINGS:

There are two kinds of people in the world; those who make excuses and those that get results.  An "excuse" person will find any excuse for why a job was not done and a "results" person will find any excuse why it can be done...Alan Cohen
